Baroque furniture

Baroque architecture is that phase of history of European architecture which, preceded the Renaissance and Mannerism, it developed in the seventeeth century, during the period

of absolutism. The term Baroque, originally derogatory, indicated the lack of regolarity and order, that the supporters of neoclassicism, influenced by Enlightnment rationalism,
considered in bad taste.
Indeed, basic features of Baroque architecture are curved lines, by sinuos, as ellipses, spirals or curved construction polycentric, sometimes with motifs that are interwined with
each other, so as to be almost indecipherable. Everything had to be arouse wonder and the strong sense of theatricality pushed the artist decorative exuberance, combining
painting, sculpture and stucco in the spatial composition and emphasizing that this requires a play of lights and shadow.
